Jerusalem Crickets are also known as a “Potato Bug”

A Jerusalem Cricket is a flightless insect. Even though they have the name Cricket they do not
jump. Despite their appearance they are harmless. They will not bite unless provoked. If they do
bite you, they do have strong jaws, and it can be painful, but they do not have venom. It may
leave you with a rash in the area you were bit. They can also omit a very foul odor if they feel
threatened.
